Youth Mental Health First Aid

What is this training course about?

The Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) course is ideal for youth workers, teachers, community organisations, individuals and parents who work or live with adolescents aged 12-18. It covers all the content included in the standard MHFA course, emphasising how to apply it to adolescents and the situations they regularly face. The course runs for 14 hours and contains additional modules covering adolescent development and physiology, mental health issues in teens, eating disorders and takes a more in-depth look at drug and alcohol (substance) abuse.
