CPR Course Eligibility & Enrolment

There are no formal academic prerequisites for the HLTAID009 CPR course. However, participants must meet the following requirements:

Age & USI Requirements

Physical Requirements:

Be physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin for at least 2 minutes kneeling on the floor.
Be physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR on an infant manikin for at least 2 minutes kneeling on the floor.
Demonstrate the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Requirements

Participants must also possess basic the language, literacy, and numeracy skills necessary to:

My first time with her and in the past I've had Flick also friendly,both able to deliver information about the course,first aid or cpr and use their own experiences to help draw and pass on confidence and necessary skills to many different Australian's, to bridge different cultures to take new skills and put into action when needed. I enjoyed my time in class ,never really liked School ,good teachers bring good results. When Gary chooses to apply himself,he usually does well.

I have lived in remote NT on cattle stations for 25 years and finfind myself in Sydney I thought that I would renew my First Aid & CPR accreditation that had expired. I've seen my fair share of real life emergencies and thankfully between choper crashes, vehicle rollovers, bull horns through lungs, broken femurs, smashed faces, snake bites, dehydration - the list goes on, everyone has survived. It is good however in my estimation to keep up to date with modern procedures as they do change over time. Gone are the days when we had to sell a kidney to pay for it, give up a whole week of work, wait 6 weeks to get into a course and drive for 500km to get to a training facility do a first aid course! This course was seemless, functional and comprehensive. The online component had videos and an exam that covered most of the course. The person-person component was a half day only ( for an absolute beginner and first time first aider I would recommend more face to face time), and available in a suburb not far from where I am staying. There were dozens of options to attend training. I only had to take one day off work, applied and found a place in the course the next day. The facilitator was exceptional, on topic at all times, relatable, engaging, professional and explained things to the beginners well. The certificate arrived overnight.
