This course replaces what was previously known as Apply first aid and also known as Senior first aid, first aid refresher course, or Level 2 Workplace first aid and is equivalent to St Johns First Aid – units of competency.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

The course will provide you with an understanding of how to apply immediately or emergency care of an injured or sick casualty, basic life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders or bystanders until more advanced medical help arrives.
