Course Times

During the 6-hour Classroom Participants will be Required to Complete:
- Practical demonstrations (simulated scenarios / role plays / incident reports)
- A theory assessment
Training sessions are delivered by friendly, highly experienced first aid industry experts who will cover all required first aid knowledge and practical training in class
Sessions are run in small groups so you will receive as much one-on-one trainer support as you need.
First Aid & WHS Course Requirements
As there are both knowledge and practical elements to our HLTAID003 Provide First Aid course participants must meet the following criteria to be accepted into a session:
- Be at least 14 years of age (those who are under 18 must present enrolment form from a parent or guardian to accept responsibility)
- Be able to use literacy and numeracy skills as required to read, interpret and apply guidelines and protocols (e.g. read and follow ARC guidelines)
- Be physically able to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR on a firm surface on the floor

About Provide First Aid & CPR
Provide first aid training is delivered in line with state/territory regulations, first aid codes of practice, Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and workplace procedures
This course replaces what was previously known as Apply first aid and also known as Senior first aid, first aid refresher course, or Level 2 Workplace first aid and is equivalent to St Johns First Aid – units of competency.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
The course will provide you with an understanding of how to apply immediately or emergency care of an injured or sick casualty, basic life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders or bystanders until more advanced medical help arrives.
1-Day Course over 6 hours face-to-face and pre-reading, participants will undertake training in 3 Units of Competency from the new HLT Health Training Package and recorded on your Statement of Attainment issued the same day (T&C) only after successful completion of the training course.
