This unit aims to allow the student to identify, assess and control manual handling risks as specified within OH&S Manual Handling Regulations and therefore provide the knowledge and skills to limit back injury.

COURSE CONTENT:
- Follow organisation procedures, for a particular task, to minimise risk of injury
- Utilise and implement strategies as directed to improve workplace organisation
- Implement and monitor the organisation's procedures for providing OHS training
- Implement and monitor procedures for identifying hazards and assessing risks
- Implement and monitor the organisation's procedures for controlling risks
- Implement and monitor the organisation's procedures for maintaining OHS records for the team

- Workbook – comprising ……short answer/multiple choice questions.
- Group activities and questioning Practical demonstrations
AWARD:
Successful participants will receive a Statement of Attainment. Recommended yearly updating.
